About the Franklin Neighborhood

The Franklin Neighborhood is home to Pioneer Park – one of Provo’s largest green spaces and home to many community events. Every year residents from all over the county come to visit the Farmer’s Market at Pioneer Park, held Saturdays from May until October. The neighborhood surrounding the park is a unique historic area and many of the older homes are being remodeled, bringing up the standard of living in the area.

The Franklin neighborhood will soon be home to the FrontRunner Intermodal Center, the Provo station for the FrontRunner train taking riders all the way to Salt Lake.

Franklin Neighborhood Meetings

Neighborhood meetings are held on the first Wednesday of every month at Franklin Elementary School. Meetings begin at 6:30 p.m.

At neighborhood meetings, a Provo City Historian holds a brief discussion on area history. At each meeting, a different city department or agency reports on what they do and how they can help the neighborhood. There is also a report from the C.O.P (community oriented policing) officer and the opportunity to discuss safety and crime concerns with him. Residents are given the time to discuss neighborhood issues and plan for neighborhood projects.

There are no meetings during the summer months (June, July, and August) unless they are needed.
