Food and Care Coalition – The Food & Care Coalition works to help individuals and families overcome the effects of poverty. They are seeking volunteers to serve hot meals, donate sack lunches, pick up restaurant donations, and hold collection drives for hygiene items. Adopt-a-Flowerbed – You can help keep downtown Provo beautiful by taking care of a Center Street flower bed from May until October. The city provides the plants, you provide your green thumb and design inspiration. Phone: 801-852-7607.

South Franklin Community Center – Want to mentor children, teach community classes, or supervise play groups? Check out the South Franklin Community Center. They offer a variety of volunteer opportunities for people that want to make a real difference in the downtown district. Phone: 801-691-5282.

Provo City Cemetery – You can help keep our local cemetery a comfortable and safe place for families to visit their loved ones by cleaning and raking the grounds. Volunteers are needed during the spring, summer, and fall. Phone: 801-852-6607.

Community Action Services & Food Bank – Fight against hunger by donating food, shelving donations, or manning the office. The Community Action Services website lists a growing number of volunteer options for families and individuals. Phone: 801-373-8200.

Project Read – Help an adult learner improve his or her reading skills by tutoring through Provo Library. In the Project Read program, volunteers work one-on-one with struggling readers progressing towards eighth-grade proficiency.
